The newly opening leaves are among the largest of any dissectum and produce fine silvery hairs giving an appearance like none other. SO far so good, however the plant did have a major breakage on one side. I have already contacted you about this and got a response. Looks beautiful now just a little lop sidded. i have already purchased the 5 gal plant so this notification of "avaliability" is very late!!!! betsy

I have a Japanese Ever Red Maple in a protected spot by my front door. It is over 40 years old and still gives me joy every time I pass it. Ihighly recommend it.

Japanese Maples are moderately easy to grow and adapt to most conditions; however, they do prefer to be planted in an area that is well protected from wind, heat exposure, and drought like conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.
