Buy Metamorphosa® Upright Japanese Maple online. A shrubby Japanese maple that is a member of the Proven Winners® ColorChoice® plant collection! Noted for the neat texture and ever-changing color of its foliage. In spring, the dissected foliage emerges yellow; a pink margin soon develops, then that shifts to white with shades of reddish-orange in summer. In autumn, the entire leaf transforms to orange-red and eventually red-violet. In winter, the bark turns bright red. A finalist in the RHS Plant of the Year competition at the Chelsea Flower Show developed by Mr. van Meuwen and Mr. Keijzer of the Netherlands.

METAMORPHOSA® UPRIGHT JAPANESE MAPLE Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips

Japanese Maples are moderately easy to grow and adapt to most conditions; however, they do prefer to be planted in an area that is well protected from wind, heat exposure, and drought like conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.
