Homeowner Growing & Maintenance

Japanese Maples are moderately easy to grow, and adapt to most conditions; however, they do prefer to be planted in an area that is well protected from wind, heat exposure, and drought like conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer. To give your plant the best start possible, we include a free fertilizer packet.

Interesting Notes

Bloodgood Japanese Maple is the most popular of the Japanese Red Maples. Excellent tree as a accent or specimen. Can be used in large pots as a patio tree. Also Great around water gardens. .Photos Courtesy of OSU Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture and Sooner Plant Farm.

Customer Testimonials

I hosted a garden walk the day after planting your plants. No one could believe they were that new and that they had been shipped. The plant material looked beautiful. Thank you.
