SLENDER SILHOUETTE SWEETGUM Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips
Liquidambar is very easy to grow and adapts to most conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.

This seems to be a pretty good sweet gum, although my plant's growth rate here in zone 5 probably isn't ideal. Mine is growing slightly raised, with good drainage, and in mostly sun. It is definitely restricted and all the branches are extremely fastigiate. From my experience so far the fall color isn't quite as good as the species.
