Buy Ruby Ridge Upright Japanese Maple online. 'Ruby Ridge' has one of the darkest leaf colors of all Japanese maples. In spring, bright red leaves are produced that turn to a deep chocolate in late spring. In summer, leaves turn to deep green, particularly in shady areas. Fall color is yellow to cherry red. The leaves are large and slightly wrinkled, which adds a unique texture for a Japanese maple. Sensitive to hot afternoon sun and burns easily.
