Buy Tupelo Tower™ Blackgum online. With all the great ornamental attributes of blackgum, including exceptional fall color and ease of care, this selection allows even more flexibility of location because of its columnar habit. 'Tupelo Tower' was selected from a good cold hardy seed source and is a full zone hardier than other available cultivars. Blackgums are known to be dioecious, which means that male and female flowers are produced on separate plants, however, perfect flowers are also produced in each plant that will aid in fruit production. Multiple trees will aid in the production of fruit, and will fill the need of those looking for trees for birds and nature attraction.

Family: Cornaceae · Common Name: Blackgum
