Proven Winners® Perennials

Hardiness Zone: 6-9   ·   Mature Height: 15-20 Inches   ·   Mature Spread: 20-24 Inches

Buy Crowning Glory™ Princess Bride Pineapple Lily online. The Crowning Glory™ series of pineapple lilies from Proven Winners® Perennials feature very rigid and upright growing flower spikes that produced in the middle of a clump of tropical, bromeliad-like foliage. They are more compact than other cultivars, and 'Princess Bride' will have you saying "INCONCEIVABLE!" in no time! Her flowers start as citron yellow and then slowly start to show more pink as they mature. The burgundy leaves are produced in late spring to early summer and feature an arching in habit, almost looking prostrate in their habit. As they mature, they will turn dark green during the summer months. Excellent when used as a border plant or planted in masses as specimens.

Family: Asparagaceae · Common Name: Pineapple Lily

Interesting Notes About CROWNING GLORY™ PRINCESS BRIDE PINEAPPLE LILY

Pineapple Lilies are native to South Africa and they get their name due to the inflorescence at the top of the flower scape, as it looks like the tropical fruit.

Pineapple Lilies are very late to emerge from dormancy, and may not emerge from the soil until June.
