Buy African Night Pineapple Lily online. 'African Night' gets its name due to the color of the new leaves that emerge in early summer. They emerge a very dark burgundy, almost black in color. They fade to green over the summer months, but as this takes place, spikes of rosy pink flowers start to grow and tower above the foliage.

Family: Asparagaceae · Common Name: Pineapple Lily

FREE with every plant purchased:

  • The Sooner Guarantee: For details, click here!
  • A pre-applied, pre-measured amount of time release fertilizer that keeps your plant well nourished for up to one year.
  • Pre-hydrated Hydro-Gels are included in the top of each container to use when planting as they help retain soil moisture, and plants will establish more quickly with less transplant shock. Plants will also survive drought-like conditions and accidental missed waterings better.

Interesting Notes About AFRICAN NIGHT PINEAPPLE LILY

Pineapple Lilies are native to South Africa and they get their name due to the inflorescence at the top of the flower scape, as it looks like the tropical fruit.

Pineapple Lilies are very late to emerge from dormancy, and may not emerge from the soil until June.
