Buy Fire Belle American Hornbeam online. This American native is a slow growing small hardwood tree, with the brightest and most consistent red fall color ever seen in an American Hornbeam. Hornbeams have smooth, gray bark and red to yellow fall color. 'Fire Belle' will develop a rounded canopy with age. Tolerant of part shade, but has best fall color in full sun. Drought sensitive and performs well in heavy, clay soils. Seeds are a great food source for wildlife in autumn.

Family: Betulaceae · Common Name: Hornbeam

FREE with every plant purchased:

  • The Sooner Guarantee: For details, click here!
  • A pre-applied, pre-measured amount of time release fertilizer that keeps your plant well nourished for up to one year.
  • Pre-hydrated Hydro-Gels are included in the top of each container to use when planting as they help retain soil moisture, and plants will establish more quickly with less transplant shock. Plants will also survive drought-like conditions and accidental missed waterings better.
