I just saw this shrub in full bloom at Reiman Gardens in Ames, IA. The shrubs were planted in 50 ft row on either side of the entrance and the fragrance was almmost heady. The most incredible scent I've ever encountered.

Plant arrived beautiful even with a FRAGRANT bloom! I didn’t get any of the free items (planting instructions, brochure, or hydrogels) included with my purchase which is a bummer. Still waiting on another package to arrive with my additional plants and I’m hoping all the info is in there.

Viburnum is easy to grow and adapts to most conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.

Interesting Notes About FRAGRANT VIBURNUM

Viburnums produce the most berries when a pollinator is planted in close proximity. The pollinator should be of the same species example(dentatum) but of a different variety. Bloom times should also match for best berry set. Click the previous and next plant button at the top of this page to see plants of this species.
