HENRY'S GARNET SWEETSPIRE Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips
Itea is easy to grow and adapts to most conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.

I don't care for this shrub. It was planted in my community residence before I moved in. It's ugly and has no color to it. It takes up too much room and the leaves are a pale green. NO REFLECTION ON THIS SITE AT ALL I DID NOT GET IT HERE. I just don't like the shrub.

Am loving this bush - still in first year. Strong 3-season interest. Mine are thriving in part sun/shade.

The itea viriginicas are a great family of plants in my book. I grow the Saturnalia, Sarah's Eve, and Henry's Garnet cultivars in a bit of a 'fringe' zone here and they do very well with great, long-lasting fall color. Easy to grow.
