Buy Hartlage Wine Sweetshrub online. 'Hartlage Wine' is the original clone of a cross from North Carolina State University and JC Raulston Arboretum from Richard Hartlage. He hybridized Sinocalycanthus chinensis, the Chinese species of Sweetshrub with Calycanthus floridus, the American species of Sweetshrub . It produces a deep wine red multi-petaled flowers that are produces in mid to late spring. Green leaves are produced giving this sweetly scented fragrant shrub a nice open and airy appearance in the landscape.
