  1. Christine - Jun 08, 2013
    Texas (Hardiness Zone: 7)

Planted this last March and it's now June and small "pineapples" are appearing. So far, this plant should be planted more in North Central Texas. Neat plant!

  2. Lisa - Aug 03, 2014
District of Columbia (Hardiness Zone: 7)

    Handsome shrub, very healthy.

  3. Alan - May 02, 2019
    Brandon, Mississippi (Hardiness Zone: 7)

It arrived dormant, with just a hint of a sprout at the soil surface. 7 Weeks later, that sprout is now 18 inches tall and fanning out to 18 inches wide. It has also been joined by 2 more sprouts---one that emerged a month after the first and another that emerged just a few days ago. I hadn't expected there to be more than one shoot this year, so it feels like a bonus.

Interesting Notes About OAKHURST PINEAPPLE LILY

Pineapple Lilies are native to South Africa and they get their name due to the inflorescence at the top of the flower scape, as it looks like the tropical fruit.

Pineapple Lilies are very late to emerge from dormancy, and may not emerge from the soil until June.
