Buy Midnight Marvel Hardy Hibiscus online. This hardy hibiscus carries some of the best genetics from the Walters Gardens introductions. It has very deep wine purple dissected maple like leaves. Like with any other dark leaved Hibiscus it must be exposed to direct sunlight to have the darkest foliage. Glossy black red buds that open to deep scarlet red blossoms. Note: Hardy hibiscus will die back to the ground every winter and emerge from the ground in late spring.

Hardy Hibiscus is easy to grow and adapts to most conditions. Remove dead canes in early spring to avoid root rot during the winter. One of the last plants to break dormancy in spring, and can stay dormant into early summer. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.
