Buy Prairie Smoke online. Prairie Smoke's name is derived from the wispy and wild textured seedheads that this reddish-pink flowering perennial produce. Native to the central and northern United States and into Canada, this Great Plains perennial is slowly getting hard to find. It spreads by rhizomes, and works great when planted in masses in for groundcover.
