Buy Blue River II Hardy Hibiscus online. This Hardy Hibiscus is a vigorous grower that produces pure white 10" blooms and loves the heat. Note: Hardy Hibiscus will die back to the ground every winter and emerge from the ground in mid to late spring. Remove old canes to the ground in mid winter. If you purchase our potted Hardy Hibiscus when dormant (September - May) you will receive a one to two year old healthy potted root system. The top cut off to allow new shoots to grow in mid to late spring.

Hardy Hibiscus is easy to grow and adapts to most conditions. Remove dead canes in early spring to avoid root rot during the winter. One of the last plants to break dormancy in spring, and can stay dormant into early summer. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.

One of the parents of Blue River II, (H.militaris) was found growing along the Blue River in southern Oklahoma, hence the name.
