Red Moon Rising™ Buttonbush, also known as Crimson Comet™ Buttonbush is medium to large growing shrub that produces unique and highly unusual, globe-shaped flowers that are covered in tiny, white, tubular, fragrant florets. This makes them an excellent choice for pollinators, as they will be browsing this buffet as a food source. After the flowers fade, the sphere-like seed is left and is different from other buttonbush cultivars in that they turn a beautiful crimson-red, resembling ornaments on a Christmas tree. Fall color on the glossy green leaves is also shades of red. It's an excellent shrub for boggy soils, even standing shallow water.
