Sooner Plant Farm has a variety of gardening plants perfectly suited for wet location planting. Some plants can be planted directly in ponds or bogs, and some plants will do best planted around the edges of wet locations. Grasses like sedges and flowering Iris give added appeal to pond banks. Green and Golden Moneywort will grow into a pond and actually float on the surface. Wire Vine is one of my favorite creeping plants to use around pond rocks and in rough terrain plantings. Trees such as Willows and Bald Cypress make great shade trees around boggy or swampy areas, and Astilbe makes a great plant for wet shady beds.
