Native to the central and northern United States and into Canada, this Great Plains perennial is slowly getting hard to find. It spreads by rhizomes, and works great when planted in masses in for groundcover.

PRAIRIE SMOKE Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips

Geum is somewhat easy to grow and adapts to most conditions, however avoid heavy clay soils and wet areas. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.
