Pearlescent flowers have yellow eye zones, edged with a violet margin that radiates along the veins of the petal. Flowers are held above the foliage on proportionate scapes. A hybrid of I. pseudocorus and I. ensata. I. pseudata keep the size and intensity of each parent, but as an interspecific cross add sterility, more contained garden performance, and new flower colors and patterns.
