MIMOSA 'OMBRELLA' (SILK TREE)

Ombrella® Mimosa Silk Tree This selection is characterized by having darker green leaves and deeper pink flowers which are borne in profusion from July to September. Growth rate is rapid, to an ultimate height of 30 to 40'. The habit is vase-shaped and broad spreading, resulting in a rather flat-topped crown when mature. This tree is useful when a "tropical" effect is desired in the landscape. Leaves fold down at night, much like a "sensitive plant", which is a related species.

Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips:
Ombrella Mimosa is very easy to grow, adapts to most conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.
To give your tree the best start possible, we include a free fertilizer packet.
Interesting Notes:
A very different type of tree, makes a beautiful specimen in the garden.
