Loblolly Pine is a good tall evergreen tree. Use as overstory trees to grow to selected understory shade loving plants, like azaleas, japanese maples or dogwoods.
Loblolly is loosely pyramidal in youth, forming a fairly open, but mostly rounded crown at maturity. The branches are more or less horizontally spreading. The pine needles are medium to dark green.
