Interesting Notes About AMETHYST FALLS WISTERIA

The delayed bud growth and reduces the loss of flower buds to late freezes.Summer pruning of vigorous shoots will stimulate growth terminating in short racemes of flower buds. Dormant season pruning will not remove all flower buds. This characteristic allows gardeners to train Amethyst Falls onto arbors or to an espalier form. Amethyst Falls will become shrubby when trained into tree form if the gardener prunes back vining shoots and reduces fertilization. Amethyst Falls is tolerant of shade, but may be somewhat reduced.
