Green Panda ia a non-invasive clumping bamboo reaching 6-8 feet tall, very vigorous and cold hardy to minus 15F. This exciting new bamboo makes an attractive evergreen specimen or when grouped creates an excellent hedge. New shoots appear early in spring and quickly develop into a large clump approximately 8 feet in diameter at maturity.
Native to western China. Favorite food of the Giant Panda. Needs organic soils with good drainage. Thrives in sun and also tolerates shade. Use in a variety of ways and at any place in the garden, as solitary specimen, as hedges or as a screen.
