Our 2 gallon potted Nectarine trees are generally 3 years old, 4-5 ft tall, approximately 1 inch caliper trunk and likely will produce fruit one year after planting. A common problem with nectarine is lack of fruit production. If you Nectarine in your garden is not producing there are a couple of things to look at. Nectarines should only grow 1 to 2 foot a year. If it is growing more than that it could be over fertilized. They also require pruning in the summer, this is thin it out.
