Akebia quinta
See what our great customers had to say about the Akebia quinta .
although this plant generally receives an USDA zone 5 (minimum)rating, i've had mine growing in zone 4 since 1999!! and, if it weren't for the farfenuggin' squirrels (who eat the blossoms), i'd have fruit, too!! it has done SO well in 20% shade AND 60% shade/sun areas, it's hard not to be discouraged (anyone got a squirrel trap???)
my advice: if you love vines which DO NOT take over the earth but are beautiful AND fruitful...try an Akebia quinta!! you will NOT be disappointed!!
