Buy Watermelon Oriental Poppy online. Has large, ruffled flowers that are vibrant watermelon red with black basal markings. Hairy, finely divided basal leaves with huge crepe-like flowers on tall hairy stems. Flowers will lighten to a pale pink with age. Plants bloom late spring and require well-drained soil. Very showy. May go dormant after blooming. In colder climates, use winter protection such as a loose mulch.
