Buy Sugar Maple online.Young Sugar Maple trees develop a smooth gray-brown bark, with age the bark becomes deeply furrowed with long irregular thick plates or ridges. Leaves are usually medium to dark green in summer changing to a brilliant yellow to burnt orange in fall. Quite possibly the best fall colors of any maple tree.

SUGAR MAPLE Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips
Japanese Maples are moderately easy to grow and adapt to most conditions; however, they do prefer to be planted in an area that is well protected from wind, heat exposure, and drought like conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.

Both of these trees did not survive. Very weak growth with stunted leaf growth. These trees were planted with the same care as the other trees I planted. Disappointed that they died.
