  1. Jacqueline - Jul 25, 2010
    Michigan (Hardiness Zone: 1)

My daughter's birthday is July 24th. Every year, since she was born, my hardy hibiscus blooms the week of her birthday. We have designated it her Birthday Bush.

  2. Tonya - Nov 17, 2011
    Perrysburg, Ohio (Hardiness Zone: 5)

LOVE LOVE this hibiscus. Flowers are the most beautiful deep red! Blooms beautifully and after first full year spreads to a beautiful full plant. Flowers do get heavy - plant near something to tie it up to once the gets into full bloom.

ROBERT FLEMING FLEMING™ HARDY HIBISCUS Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips

Hardy Hibiscus is easy to grow and adapts to most conditions. Remove dead canes in early spring to avoid root rot during the winter. One of the last plants to break dormancy in spring, and can stay dormant into early summer. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.
