JAPANESE MAPLE 'RED' (small pots)
The seed for our seedling Japanese Red Maples is collected from the northeast United States. Our trees exhibit a cold hardiness to zone 5. We have chosen this seed source for the very dark red foliage, rapid growth, and tolorance to both cold and heat.The trees are growing and shipped in anderson band pots size (2"x2"x2"). These trees work great for grafting, bonsai, or simply pot them up for sale as Japanese Red Maples. Keep in mind, this is a seedling variety, leaf color, leaf shape can vary in some of the trees. Personally, I appreciate the variations when they occur; I have selected several of these odd balls, to be part of my personnel collection.

Atropurpureum is a seed grown variety that has many wonderful characteristics, which can vary from tree to tree. Each tree will vary slightly in leaf color ranging from deep dark red, to green and red mixtures. Fall color is exceptional with this cultivar.
