Perennial Plants for Part Shade

Add Excitement and Year-Round Interest with Warm Colored Foliage and Flowers!
Perennial plants can add year-round interest and excitement to the landscape and these all have warm color tones in yellows, reds and oranges. Both flowers and foliage play a part in creating the stunning design of a garden island or large border bed.

Take into consideration not only how the plants combine with others around them, but also how each plant adds interest to the landscape through all the seasons - winter, spring, summer and fall. Be sure to take a look at Warm Color Toned Trees and Shrubs for larger plants that will compliment these bold perennials.

These perennials all add warmth and excitement to a garden which can be especially important in an area with light, dappled or afternoon shade where sun-loving perennials won't always perform well. Combine just two or three of your favorites in large sweeping masses or create a more informal island bed by using several you just can't live without. Either way you'll be bringing energy and sparkle to your landscape that's sure to be eye-catching.
