Conifers

Conifers include a wide range of plant genus. All conifers produce seed in cones, with many being evergreen, but some are deciduous! They can grow in a wide variety of habits, including carpet-like groundcovers, dense shrubs, and stately upright specimens. Pine, juniper, spruce, yew, arborvitae and cedar are great examples of evergreen conifers; while Bald Cypress, Dawn Redwood and larch are considered outstanding selections of deciduous conifers. Evergreen conifers can provide terrific year-round privacy screens, while deciduous conifers are better for seasonal screening.

  1. JAPANESE UMBRELLA PINE

    Sciadopitys verticillata

Buy Japanese Umbrella Pine online. The name of this plant is somewhat of a misnomer, as it's not a Pine at all, but the needles closely resemble the Pinus genus. Native to the mountainous regions of Japan, this evergreen conifer gets its name from the way the needles are angled off the branches, resembling the spokes of an umbrella. It's a beautiful, unique, and rare specimen tree, and works well as a single planting or as a privacy border.

  2. WEEPING GIANT REDWOOD

    Sequoiadendron giganteum Pendulum

Buy Weeping Giant Redwood online. A weeping cultivar of the giants in northern California! Many people describe this as the ultimate "Dr. Seuss" tree, as no two of these are exactly the same. They grow extremely irregular, often leaning, and have strangely unique branching habits. Due to its evergreen foliage, it can oftentimes appear as a "spooky" silhouette against the setting sun. Highly rare and hard-to-find!
