Planted this beautiful tree in spring 2017 to replace a weeping willow that was getting too big for my yard. Arrived very healthy in a 5 gallon root pouch and started growing its first season. Tree is about 6.5 feet now and should eventually grow to 15 feet. It has a lovely cascading form with slender lobed leaves that are bright green in spring/summer and gold/ crimson in the fall. Love it!

OMURA YAMA UPRIGHT JAPANESE MAPLE Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips

Japanese Maples are moderately easy to grow and adapt to most conditions; however, they do prefer to be planted in an area that is well protected from wind, heat exposure, and drought like conditions. Feed once a year with a slow release fertilizer.
